CPQ:

Configure Price quote.


C: Configure = which products user/customer can buy

P: Price = on what price

Q: Quote = details of products/price/discounts/quantity etc..


Product:

Company’s products that are used to sell to the customers.

  • Standalone (onetime) Products.(Ex: Laptop, Phone, etc)

  • Subscription based Products.(Ex: Prime video,Netflix etc)


Product Bundle:

Grouping of products under Main product/wrapper sku(stock keeping unit).

Ex: 

Laptop(Main Products) 

Accessories like Mouse, Keyboard (Product options)


Product Option / Optional For:

Product option is used to add products to the main Products.



Feature:

Products to display in the under category.

Price book:

Price book holds the price of the product.


Quoting and QLE:

SB Quoting Process


Product Rule:

Product rule helps customers to select the right products.

Product rules helps in:

Alert  :Soft error which can be ignore and can save quote

Validation :Error message to fix then enable to save quote

Selection :Add/Remove/hide/enable/disable products

Filter :Show specific products


Product Rule have 3 components

  1. Error conditions: To hold Error conditions/criteria

  2. Action: To perform action(like Add/Remove/hide/enable/disable products)

  3. Configuration rule: To configure product(only helps on product selection page not on QLE)


Approval rule:

Approval rules are used to send quotes for approvals which are submitted by sales rep.

Approval rules also have email templates for rejection,request.approval of quote and approvers.


Summary Variable:

Used to have aggregate functions such as Sum,count,Avg,Min,Max


Option constraints:

Constrained Option and Constraining Option with dependency and exclusion of products.


QCP:

Quote Calculator Plugin- is used to add extra functionality on QLE by quantity/date/price/discount etc
